Email Chart Formulas

The Simple Email Comparison is an attempt to boil down the massive amount of raw data in the Detailed Comparison to be more accessible to people who don’t care about each and every data point.

Since I’m forced to use weighted values for this kind of a comparison, I want to be completely transparent and open with how they’re being calculated, which is why this page exists.

As usual, Green, Yellow, and Red flags are used and mean the following:  Green = “Generally good”, Yellow = “Something of concern”, and Red = “Something major of concern”.

Jurisdiction:

Red Flag: Five Eyes Country, Enemy of the Internet, or Not Disclosed

Yellow Flag: Nine Eyes Country, Fourteen Eyes Country, Owned, or Cooperative.

Green Flag: Not a Fourteen Eyes Country AND Not an Enemy of the Internet.
